Major donors and sponsors
Diakonie Altholstein helps people in various emergency situations between Kiel and Schenefeld with a comprehensive range of advice, education, social work and care. We are the social work of the Protestant church.
But diaconal work is more than just basic care. We want to create and nurture community and provide uncomplicated help when people are in need. To do this, we rely on the support of third parties.
In the past and today, donations are valuable for the work in our facilities because they secure and improve the quality of life for the people who place their trust in us.
Our mission statement describes how we understand our work and how we handle donations. We help with competence and charity and empower people to lead a self-determined life.
We ask for donations, we value every donation and cultivate the trust of our supporters. We keep you informed - because we know that only with your donations can we shape the future together.
Doing good beyond your own lifetime
It's never too early or too late to think about how you want to arrange your personal affairs for later. A will expresses your own wishes and gives you the opportunity to ensure that your assets are used as you wish during your lifetime. A will therefore offers the opportunity to do good and create something lasting.
If you are interested in this special form of support, we would be happy to talk to you personally. We look forward to your call.
Condolence donation
The death of a loved one is a profound loss that is difficult to cope with. You and your deceased loved one lived and laughed, cried and hoped together. And you shared values that defined your life together. At such a time, it can be comforting for you to think that you can stand up for these shared values beyond death with a condolence donation. Ask your mourners to make a donation to Diakonie Altholstein.
Practical tips
- Please contact us in the event of bereavement.
- Make a note in the obituary that a donation for Diakonie Altholstein is requested instead of wreaths. State our donation account and a keyword.
- We will send you information about the donations received as soon as possible.
- We will send all donors, provided we have their addresses, a donation receipt and a thank you from our management.
- Please note that, according to legal regulations, we are only allowed to issue receipts to the person making the transfer and not for collective amounts.
The fines and penalties imposed on us by criminal courts provide important financial support for Diakonie Altholstein. These donations enable us to open up prospects for disadvantaged families and adults or to provide help quickly and unbureaucratically in acute emergencies.
One example of this is our anti-violence training: an outpatient service for aggressive young people and men with reduced impulse control. We teach empathy and self-control and promote long-term behavioral change.
Judges and public prosecutors have the option of supporting us by allocating a fine.
Our administration does this:
- Non-profit status: Diakonie Altholstein is recognized as a non-profit organization, most recently with the corporation tax assessment from the Kiel Nord tax office dated 21.02.2019.
- Listing at the OLG Schleswig: Identification number 3072.
- Earmarking for a specific purpose: Diakonie Altholstein uses monetary contributions exclusively for the purpose specified in the statutes and stated by you.
- Information: Diakonie Altholstein will inform you promptly about the receipt or non-receipt of the allocated fines.
- Separate account management and remittance slip with the imprint "no donation".
- Discretion and strict data protection.
Donations in kind are very welcome in our social department stores! Your well-preserved favorite items, furniture, toys or clothing help people in economically strained situations to obtain what they need at a reasonable price. Homeless people who are moving back into their own home with our help also receive their first basic items here. For more information on donating items, please contact our department stores.
