Advice & help with housing shortages
Our advice on housing shortages is an offer to all people
- who are threatened with losing their home,
- who no longer have a home of their own,
- who have to look for a new home and need support in doing so.
If you are unable to pay your rent, are threatened with termination without notice or if you have already received a notice of termination or an eviction notice, you can get help and support at our advice centers. If you have had to give up your home and are now without a place to stay, you will be informed about the options for temporary accommodation or referred there.
Advice is also provided if your previous housing situation has become unbearable, for example due to structural defects or cramped conditions. In any case, we will clarify whether you are entitled to social benefits and initiate the application process. If necessary, we will put you in touch with other support facilities.
Our work is complemented by the operation and support of emergency housing shelters and day and overnight accommodation as well as the provision of lunches.

The Central Counseling Center for People in Housing Need in Neumünster (ZBS)
Our counseling center in Neumünster is divided into men's and family counseling, offender support in the prison and women's counseling in order to take into account the special situation of women in housing need.

Day and overnight accommodation in Neumünster
We offer overnight accommodation for homeless men and women at the overnight shelter. Admission is only ever temporary, and anyone aged 18 or over who is homeless can be admitted. Admission to the overnight shelter is possible around the clock. For families with underage children, we find individual solutions outside our facility.
People accommodated in the overnight shelter can stay in the day center during the day. It is also open to visitors from Neumünster during opening hours. Lunch is offered several days a week. The staff are happy to help with everyday questions.

Advice and housing skills training in the Segeberg district

Residential and outpatient assistance for people in special circumstances
As part of this assistance, we support people on a case-by-case basis in accordance with Section 67 SGB XII to help them overcome particular social difficulties according to their individual needs. The focus here is on support in maintaining and securing housing. The focus is on activating and strengthening personal resources.

We offer support and advice to people who have problems managing their limited financial resources by using our trust account. In particular, we ensure that these funds are used for the intended purpose when securing essential living expenses, rent payments, energy supplies and other priority payment obligations via a trust account. At the request of those affected, support and referral to appropriate regular services is provided.
