TABU - specialist center for women's health with a focus on female genital mutilation and cutting (FGM/C)

FGM/C(FemaleGenitalMutilation/Cutting) refers to a massive traumatic injury to the female external genitalia.

Our TABU advice center in Kiel-Gaarden is the only specialist center focusing on female genital mutilation and cutting for the whole of Schleswig-Holstein. It is therefore often the first point of contact for anyone who needs information and help. Affected and at-risk women and girls and their families receive individual advice, guidance and support from TABU; institutions, specialists and interested members of the public receive information and advice from colleagues.
