About Us

We are an interdisciplinary and multilingual team with diverse expertise in women’s health and FGM/C, and we regularly participate in continuing education on these topics. The participation of clients and community leaders is the absolute core of our work and forms the foundation of our open, respectful, culturally sensitive, and needs-based approach.

Our Position

Our counseling services are open to everyone—regardless of their faith, background, nationality, or gender. The distinctiveness and uniqueness of each individual are at the heart of everything we do. In our dialogue with our clients, we take a holistic view of the person. We respond flexibly and individually to the needs of those who turn to us. Because of our focus on FGM/C, our clients come from a variety of countries of origin, and we approach their individual characteristics without prejudice and with respect. Our clients include women and girls who have been affected by or are at risk of FGM/C. In addition, we support families grappling with this issue and offer specialized counseling for men from societies where FGM/C is prevalent.
