Torsten Moritz from the Churches' Commission for Migrants in Europe, based in Brussels, spoke about the reasons for fleeing and the prospects of people seeking protection in Schleswig-Holstein and opened up new perspectives on the public discourse and the statistics used in politics. Doris Kratz-Hinrichsen, the State Commissioner for Refugee, Asylum and Immigration Issues in Schleswig-Holstein, showed in her presentation the structural opportunities and hurdles that refugees face when they arrive here.
Together with the Psychosocial Centre for Traumatized Refugees of Brücke SH, the TABU specialist unit took the participants on a journey into the focus of health. Under the title "I see something you don't see", a change of perspective was developed with regard to working with refugee women.
