According to Josefine Scotti, Head of Station Mission & Mobile Aid Services at Diakonie Altholstein, the current donation will be used for general purposes - including the training of volunteers and support for the lunch table at the station mission. This is run in cooperation with the Kieler Anker and offers people in need a hot meal every Thursday and Friday. "The station mission thrives on the great commitment of its volunteers. In order to meet the diverse requirements, regular training and reliable support in everyday life are essential," says Scotti.
Kerstin David, Chairwoman of the Works Council at Provinzial Kiel, underlines the special bond: "The station mission has been part of our immediate neighborhood for many years. Our colleagues know how important this service is for people in difficult situations. That's why it's very important to us to continue this commitment."
The Kiel station mission is a central point of contact for people traveling and for people in difficult life situations. Every year, numerous people are supported there with advice, practical help and human care. This work is made possible above all by voluntary commitment and the long-standing support of loyal partners such as Provinzial Kiel.
